Hi Annie, my husband and I are thinking about renovating a little rental condo that we’ve owned for several years now. Our question is about what “renno” ivestment will give us the most return if we want to sell the unit in the future? New carpet? Paint? Upgraded bathroom, kitchen, new appliances? Thanks for your answer! K&R

Great question Kris, I believe the smallest financial investment with the biggest impact is paint. A fresh coat of paint goes a long way. My advise is to keep it neutral.
Bathrooms and Kitchens are areas that you will recoup your investment. It is shown that when bathrooms and kitchen’s are fresh and updated the house will sell faster.
